Patient Assistance with miR Access™

We offer financial assistance programs for patients who qualify and whose insurance does not cover all or part of the cost of the test. miR Access is designed to ensure access to the test for any patient for whom their physician believes it is medically necessary.

The miR Access program caps household out-of-pocket cost on a sliding scale based on household income, with payment-over-time available. Almost all patients pay no more than approximately $250 for the test.

Reimbursement

miR Sentinel™ has CPT Proprietary Laboratory Analyses (PLA) code 0424U and is listed on the 2026 Medicare Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule. Broad coverage policies remain in build, as is typical for a recently coded molecular diagnostic.

If your insurance carrier does not pay for all, or a portion, of the cost of your test, MiRNA Scientific representatives will submit an appeal on your behalf. MiRNA Scientific is committed to completing up to the maximum allowable number of appeals, including submission to your insurer's independent medical review, if available. The actual number of appeals allowed depends upon your individual plan and is determined when the appeal process begins. As is common with claim denials, you and your physician may be asked to assist in the process as needed.

Medicare beneficiaries: if a Medicare claim is denied, MiRNA Scientific does not bill the patient for any remaining balance on a denied Medicare claim.

The report will be securely delivered to the provider who ordered the test, either via secure fax or secure email.

Where is the miR Sentinel™ Prostate Cancer Test commercially available?

The miR Sentinel™ Prostate Cancer Test is commercially available in most U.S. states as well as Puerto Rico. The test is not currently available in New York.
