A non-invasive, urine-based laboratory test that supports detection and risk classification of prostate cancer at the molecular level.
Intended to be ordered by a healthcare provider for a patient with clinical suspicion of prostate cancer. miR Sentinel has been granted FDA Breakthrough Device Designation†.
In a 432-patient independent test set, the test demonstrated 97% sensitivity for any prostate cancer.¹

Veterans face a meaningfully elevated risk of prostate cancer compared with the general population.⁴ Approximately 16,000 veterans receive a prostate cancer diagnosis each year, making it the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the veteran community.⁵
Click the button below to learn how miR Sentinel™ helps veterans detect prostate cancer early.
Prostate cancer is prevalent and deadly.
It represents the highest number of new cancer cases diagnosed annually and is the second-leading cause of cancer death among men.² Early detection and the ability to identify high-grade disease early are central to effective management.
Existing non-invasive options for prostate cancer risk assessment have meaningful limitations. miR Sentinel uses a urinary-exosome small-non-coding-RNA panel and a multi-class risk classifier as a complementary tool to support providers' decisions.

In its 432-patient independent test set, miR Sentinel correctly identified 97% (231/238) of patients with biopsy-confirmed prostate cancer as having Molecular Evidence of Prostate Cancer.¹
91% (126/139) of patients with biopsy-confirmed Grade Group ≥2 prostate cancer were identified by miR Sentinel as having Molecular Evidence of Elevated-Risk for Aggressive Prostate Cancer.¹
Prostate cancer is prevalent and deadly.
It represents the highest number of new cancer cases diagnosed annually and is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among American men. Early detection and the ability to identify high grade disease early are key to effective disease management: If detected early, the survival rate is nearly 100%, but a late diagnosis drops survival to only 30%.
Unlike other cancers, a significant proportion of prostate cancers are indolent and are unlikely to need immediate treatment, and only a relatively small number of prostate cancer patients have an aggressive disease that requires intervention.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
miR Sentinel is intended to be ordered by a healthcare provider when, in that provider's clinical judgment, a patient presents with clinical suspicion of prostate cancer (for example, elevated PSA, abnormal DRE, family history, or other risk factors). It is not a population-wide screening service. Speak with your provider about whether miR Sentinel is appropriate for your individual situation.
Until now, prostate cancer screening and diagnosis involved a complex and painful process including multiple procedures, many of which are inaccurate, invasive and ultimately don’t easily answer your two most crucial questions: Do I have prostate cancer? How severe is it? These painful and highly inaccurate procedures cause too many men to opt out of screening for prostate cancer, putting their health at risk.
